Byron De'Vinner started The Byron De’Vinner Foundation November 5th 2004.  This date is very special to him because it is not only his birthday, but also and more importantly it is the date that his great-great grandmother Katie Gaiters passed away.  Byron said that he wanted to do something special on that date because his great-great grandmother was always special to him.

The Byron De'Vinner Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers kids in Alabama and around the Southeast a better way of life. It offers kids the chance to learn from their peers that there are other alternate avenues in life other than out in the streets.  Byron also feels through his foundation, he can be a role model to show kids that it doesn’t matter where you come from, it how hard you work to get what is yours at the end of the tunnel. Byron is also very active in the Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Club, 2nd Harvest Food Bank, and will volunteer during the Iron Bowl weekend with Making Strides. He also currently serves as a youth football coach in his new hometown in Tennessee.

2005 events helped many individuals in Calera, Vincent, and children at Children's Hospital of Alabama.  A scholarship for a deserving senior has been formed at Calera High School.  We look for 2006 to be a banner year for the foundation.  With the success and support from all of our corporate sponsors, The Byron De'Vinner Foundation will continue to aid children in Alabama and throughout the Southeast.  As the foundation grows so does the demand for help from the community.  We are a member of the Non Profit Resource Center of Alabama. The foundation pledges to support our children.  We don't believe in leaving any child behind.

"Having the opportunity to come out to help Byron with his foundation was great.  Byron really has given his all to make this a success.  I will continue to support his drive to help the youth community in Alabama."
