"I really commend the effort that Byron has put into his foundation. I enjoy coming out to participate. I allows me the opportunity to see several of my former teammates. I have known Byron for many years dating back to my junior year in college. We joke a lot when we see one another. When he told me that he was starting his own foundation, I thought he was joking again until I started seeing the information around Birmingham. Now seeing his desire to make his foundation a success, I really respect and believe in what he is doing in his community. I always give Byron advise on his foundation when he comes to me. I make sure that he has all of the important basis covered. From what I have seen he not only makes sure all the basis are covered but he makes sure that all of the athletes are well taken care of. That is very important in any foundation. I will continue to follow and support Byron through his mission to help our youth of Alabama. "
